Concept
The proposal for the railway station at the Law School building in Recoleta is framed within a vision that recognizes the historical and symbolic value of the railway in shaping Argentina’s territory and urban identity. The intervention redefines the functionality of the space as a sensory and contemplative threshold, acting as a viewpoint that strengthens the connection between city and landscape. A metal structure, composed of frames modulated at 6 meters, supports a longitudinal volume that references the railway trace, generating an accessible, fluid, and integrative path. The incorporation of a double-height green threshold with native vegetation promotes biodiversity and environmental resilience. The elevated volumetry operates as a symbolic boundary of the urban edge, while the ground floor, intended for commercial uses and pedestrian circulation, fosters social interaction. The project is, in essence, a gesture of reconciliation between memory, territory, and nature.
